Flyers make deal with Lysol for $500K in cleanliness

The Flyers are hoping to acquire a major contract from the NHL in return for two players who will help them make the playoffs for the first time since 2012-13.
The Flyers announced Thursday that they have signed defenseman Joonas Korpisalo to a three-year, entry-level contract.
The 25-year-old, who has recorded seven goals and 10 assists for 16 points in 61 games this season, is expected to join the team in mid-March.
“We’re excited to add Joonass Korpislav to our team and we look forward to working with him as we move forward,” Flyers General Manager Ron Hextall said.
The 27-year old center is coming off a breakout campaign in 2016-17, when he finished tied for first in scoring among defensemen with 22 points.
He posted career highs in goals (20), assists (37), points (34), power-play goals (4) and game-winning goals (two).
Korpisalo has appeared in nine games with the Flyers this season and recorded his first career NHL goal on April 9.
The defenseman also had two assists in his first game of the season on April 12 at Minnesota.
The 28-year york native also recorded three assists in five games with Columbus last season.
The defenseman also played for the Czech Republic in the 2018 World Cup of Hockey and recorded one assist in six games.
The deal is expected be worth around $500,000.
