CDC to issue final report on chemical hygiene policy

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is to release its final report analyzing how to reduce the risk of a coronavirus pandemic, officials said Wednesday.

The report, to be released Wednesday by the National Academies, will also include recommendations for public health officials.

It will be the first comprehensive analysis of the use of chemicals and disinfectants in the United States since the 1918 flu pandemic.

The new report will focus on the health impacts of a pandemic and what can be done to mitigate the risks.

The National Academy of Sciences is a nonprofit, nonpartisan research organization of more than 700 members.
